christmas is upon us

i rarely post on this blog- since i have another blog i use more often. however i'm posting for christmas! i've found a few really great blogs on blogger and i think i have a few new recipes thanks to some of the deliciously cool people i've stumbled upon.

so the house is decorated for the holiday. light are up outside. living in the hood- well not many people have lights up, and we still have a few vacant houses on the block, but hopefully santa will find his way down our chimney and leave EP some of the things she's been asking for. (i'm almost certain he will.)

in other news bungalow living + cold weather= unwelcomed guests. there's been a little bit of scurrying up the pipes in the bathroom to the attic... NOT GOOD. but even worse is the Dali-esque black ant invasion. this happened as soon as it got cold and we turned the heat on. no ants when we have been running the AC but flipped the heat on and out they came. they're MADDENING!

other than those 2 minor malfunctions- all is good in our tiny little bungalow in the hood!

blogger

today, i went through my bookmarks, trying to pare down the ever growing list of awesomeness that clutters my computer... and i found some great blogs that i had bookmarked and never added to follow... and then was like, "oh yeah, i have one of those accounts too... duh!"

funny enough i've been in a de-clutter phase in our little bungalow too. i'm not into clutter, and rarely have a lot of clutter or chaos lurking in my home, (it's just distracting). i've had a little extra time on my hands, and so i'm "FALL CLEANING" woo-hoo!

so to play the catch up game:
EP is growing up super fast, she makes me laugh and i'm so amazed by her on a daily basis!

the pugs are still a pack of crazy 4 legged kids. i haven't been focused on sewing the past couple of months, stuff isn't selling in my ETSY store... so i've become a little disenchanted with that project.

this old house is still our little home. since the AC has been replaced, and the insulation, and the other little plumbing jobs and minor repairs- she's been cozy... still have a lot to do, and really need to get some curb appeal... but the interior is the first thing i've been concentrating on, then the repairs- then worry about what it looks like on the outside.
-new living room furniture, finally!
-EP's room was re done from the "baby pink and green secret garden theme" to a "little girl's room": a purple and green color scheme, with a little bit of a fairytale garden theme.
-new curtains in the dining room, living room and blue room
-an awesome old hutch found on craigslist for the kitchen entry way
-and odds and ends to fill up spaces (that's my cool way of saying nick nacks found at the homegoods, ross, target et all) and give the rooms a little more personality!
